Virgo Season 2020 - On August 22nd, the Sun moves into Virgo, which means we are moving into Virgo Season!

Virgo is represented by “The Virgin” because she often has a somewhat shy, naive, sometimes innocent personality. This might serve as a bit of a warning for us to not allow ourselves to be blindsided due to our own naivete.

Despite the modern meaning for the term “virgin”, historically this word actually means unmarried – which makes sense because Virgo finds strength within herself and does not have an undying need to have a partner. If she does have one, she is more likely to view that person as her equal partner in life rather than someone she needs to rely on for her own security.

As Virgo is an earth sign, we’re going to be craving stability, practicality, and reliability. Virgo typically finds these things through processes – she is very methodical and when things are out of order, it makes her feel uncomfortable and unsafe. This is when she might get a bit bossy or critical and try to force her will on others.

As we move through Virgo Season, you might find that you – or the people near you – feel this way. Just keep in mind that this insecurity is rooted in fear, and it serves us better to look at the situation in a more practical, logical sense. Instead of worrying that things are “not as they should be”, let go of that need for perfection and allow things to unfold as they are meant to be. Virgos tend to overthink things, so letting go might be difficult to do during this time.

Virgos are also highly creative. If you find yourself feeling stressed out because of uncertainty, shift your mindset by working on a creative project. This could mean painting, drawing, sketching, writing, playing music or singing, or finding a new way to use your imagination. Again, the important thing here however is to let go of even the slightest need for perfection, a common trait among Virgos. Just allow yourself to enjoy the process!
