Every year at about this time – with the Summer Solstice taking place and the mid-year point approaching – I like to do a little check-in with myself. This is the perfect time to gauge progress on my goals and see whether I want to make any adjustments. Mid-year check-in: Three important questions to ask yourself:

Question 1: How am I doing on this year’s goals?

I grab my yearly goal list and give it a good once over. It’s time to prioritize and re-evaluate.

  • Which accomplishments can I check off now? (This is my favorite part!)
  • What are my top three, and what can I start doing NOW to continue the momentum?
  • What are my bottom three?
  • Is there something I’m wasting time on, that could be better spent on priority goals?

One BIG thing to remember here is to be kind and gentle with yourself! Give yourself some slack and don’t get discouraged if you’re not as far along as you think you should be. Things happen! Holding yourself accountable to a deadline so you can get a goal accomplished is important, yes. But it’s also important to be realistic and remember that these are your deadlines. You can freely change them if you need or want to. You make the rules!

Question 2: What do I need to let go of right now?

Take inventory of what you’re holding on to and determine what you need to let go of. What’s no longer serving you? What’s holding you back? What could you release, in order to make room for the new things you really want?

I look at this step from a holistic perspective

  • What can I release physically? What items around the house could I sell, donate, give away, or trash?
  • What can I release emotionally? Am I holding on to guilt, resentment, anger, or any other damaging emotions?
  • What can I release mentally? What is my mind holding you back from?
  • What can I release spiritually? What negative energies have I picked up over time?
What do I need to let go of right now?

A complete chakra clearing and activation will help rid your self of any blocks to your success – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. No matter what, once you release you will have a new sense of lightness and freedom. Such an amazing feeling!

Question 3: What do I want to bring into my life right now?

I like to save the fun one for last! Now that I’ve cleared out all the stuff I don’t need anymore, it is the perfect time to think about what I want to manifest, then set it into motion. I have two favorite ways to manifest.

My manifesting box is a small, pretty box I got at the dollar store. In it, I put pictures of the things I want to attract, as I visualize them. It’s similar to a “vision board”, another great manifesting tool. The pictures were cut from magazines or printed from an image search. You don’t need to use a picture. Sometimes I just write something on a piece of paper and tuck it into the box. On top of these photos and notes, I’ve placed a crystal that I’ve charged with the intention to manifest them.

Mid-year (and year-end) is the time when I go through the box and remove pictures of the things that I have successfully manifested (yay!). I also add any new things I want to attract. If there’s anything I’ve changed my mind about manifesting, I remove that item from the box. Then I clear and charge the crystal, or perhaps replace it with a different one. Finally, I place the box back on my altar where it goes to work for me!

Positive Affirmations

Affirmation: In forgiveness I find true freedom

Affirmations work for literally anything you want to attract or change! Saying them out loud is important. When your voice is saying them day after day, your subconscious and the Universe conspire to make these things happen for you.

The affirmations you say will become real – I’ve seen it happen with myself and with lots of my clients. I personally have successfully manifested money, new jobs, clients, event tickets, relationships, business opportunities, and even a new home. There is literally no limit!

At the solstice/mid-year and equinox/year-end, I like to take a good look at my current affirmations and see if there is anything I need to tweak. Here are a just a few of my favorite go-to affirmations:

  • I am a light, I am full of energy!
  • I am at peace.
  • Thank you, Archangel Michael, for your protection today and always
  • I am protected by Divine Love.
  • I attract people who need my help and value the services I provide.
  • Thank you, Spirit Team, for your help today with… (fill in the blank).
